Background

Before jumping into my day to day life I wanted to let you guys know a little background about myself to preface this blog.

I graduated high school in 2009 and went to community college for a cheaper and local option to get my associates out of the way. I graduated from community college spring of 2011 and received my associates in Business Administration. I have since transferred to a four year university and it was the time of my life where my routine changed most drastically than ever before. Until I transferred to a four year university I had lived at home so moving out was a brand new experience and it has been very enjoyable thus far.

I came to this university with the intention of my major being Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance. For the past several years I have known that I was always interested in stocks and investing so my plan was something along the lines of financial planner after graduation. Fall 2011, my first semester at a four year went alright, classes were harder than I was used to coming from community and I had to be sure and manage my time well. My classes are also rather project and group work focused so that added a load to the semester to have to always coordinate with other people and work around different schedules. I got through the semester and received mostly B's with a C or two, not the best grades but OK, still room for improvement.

Flash forward through winter break to spring semester 2012, I get into my first upper division finance class and I guess I didn't know what I was getting myself into with finance. The finance class is very difficult and whats more I don't enjoy it at all. Besides not enjoying the class it is the first of many and they all build on each other so I rethink my options. It is now nearing the end of my second semester in four year and have decided to switch my emphasis to Management over Finance and  I am working at passing my difficult finance class. I came to this college in the mindset of taking three more years to finish as opposed to two so that gives me more time to spread out my classes and not overburden myself.

That gives you a good idea of what brought me to this day mid April with the end of the spring semester in sight I will let you guys know how it goes and stick around for more blogs. I believe the majority of my blogs during the semester will revolve around my school life as it is what takes up the majority of my time during the week. Thank you for reading and I will talk to you all soon.
